Ipsen Ships Vacuum Furnace To Taiwan

Cherry Valley, IL (August 31, 2009) – Ipsen, Inc. has shipped a new HR58x48 2-Bar Nitrogen Quench MetalMaster® Horizontal Vacuum Furnace to a Kaori Heat Treatment Co. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of plate heat exchangers and related components, with locations in the Taiwan area and mainland China. The new MetalMaster® has a work zone size of 42" (1,067mm) x 36" (914mm) x 48" (1,219mm), with a gross load weight capability of 2,500 lbs at 2,400°F. The Vacuum Furnace features an energy efficient graphite hot zone consisting of 1" graphite board with a 0.015" bonded GRAFOIL® hot face, and 1" graphite felt thermal insulation. The insulation pack is housed in a carbon steel gas distribution plenum for uniform gas distribution into the workload. The unit is designed and engineered to meet AMS 2750 D code requirements.
