Ipsen, Inc. Ships Vacuum Furnace To Central U.S.

Cherry Valley, IL (June 15, 2009) – Ipsen, Inc. has shipped a H5448 2-Bar Quench TURBO TREATER® Horizontal Vacuum Furnace to an aerospace manufacturer located in the Central United States. This enhanced TURBO TREATER® has a work zone size of 36" (914mm) x 36" (914mm) x 48" 1,219mm) (W x H x D), with a gross load weight capability of 3,000 lbs. at 2400°F. The unit offers reduced power consumption, a compact floor print, and provides for quick hot one removal in less than one hour for maintenance. The vacuum furnace includes a robust graphite heating system element assembly with convection assisted heating, and an energy efficient 2" thick graphite thermal insulation pack consisting of a carbon composite hot face backed by four layers of graphite felt. The insulation is housed in a carbon steel gas distribution plenum for uniform gas distribution into the workload. The Ipsen COMPUVAC® control system offers many features including DIGITRIM® an automatic multi-zone tuning feature, virtually unlimited recipe storage, real-time and historical trending, and modem capability for remote diagnostics. The unit is designed and engineered to meet AMS 2750 D code requirements.
