FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN / ENGINEER
Field Service Engineer/Technician to serve as a company representative for field installations, trouble shooting, service calls, and preventative maintenance at customer facilities located throughout North America and the world.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Electrical/electronic background; Basic skill sets must include the ability to read electrical line drawings.
  • Familiarity with Vacuum or Atmosphere furnaces.
  • Prior Heat Treatment shop experience a plus.
  • Skilled in PLC Logic / Platform.
  • Temperature control integration.
  • Temperature profiling and PID understanding.
  • SCADA software.
  • A/B Software.
  • Wonderware.
  • Field wiring.
  • SL/C5, RSLogics, preferred.
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience.
  • Ability to keep detailed notes and computer operation(s) for data entry and retrieval.
Education:
  • Four (4) year degree preferred can be substituted for 5+ years direct hands on experience.
  • Advanced technical education or combination of education and employment.
  • Previous experience in vacuum and or atmosphere equipment line is preferred.
  • Closely related equipment requiring the same skill sets will also be considered.
Other:
  • Ability to travel required (National and International), approximately 75% travel.
  • Geographical locations desired, but not necessary.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Ipsen, the global leader in thermal processing systems is looking for a Product Development Manager interested in developing market-changing technologies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the company’s research efforts in several new and promising fields of innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical information (telephone solicitations, customer visits, etc.) to customers and representatives on Ipsen special equipment projects and processes.
  • Attend trade shows to determine feasibilities of new processes and technical market trends.
  • Author technical papers on regular basis.
  • Patent relevant innovations.
  • Work closely with R&D on current and potential future testing programs to prove out new processes – testing could occur both overseas and in the USA.
  • Generate cost calculations and proposals for non-standard applications.
  • Maintain technology, process and competitive files.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Knowledge in metallurgy, materials sciences and/or chemistry.
  • Knowledge of different type’s thermal processing equipment is a strong plus.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle and resolve problems.
Experience:
  • Either Bachelor of Science degree with relevant industry experience or Advanced.
  • Engineering Degree (MS / PHD).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in related field.
Special Requirements:
  • Willing to work overtime as required.
  • Natural energy and excitement in finding new technologies and bringing them to market.
  • Domestic and International travel up to 25%. Timing of trips can be usually controlled by the candidate.
